Case Study – Vendor Billing Portal for BBTEC

Customer and business challenge

BBTEC is digital engineering service provider , offers full telecommunications services and solutions, including consultations, customised design, operations, and maintenance. BBTEC’s clients are private organisations - DTAC, TRUE, AIS, WHA, MIH, ERICSSON, etc.

As they are dealing with large number of sub-contractors across the country ,mostly when sub-contractor place invoice , it usually takes sometimes to go through internal process as the invoice consist of many tasks for several projects. Most of the time the internal team used is to verify and correct the amount of payment.

Solution provided

As the solution will be used by two group of people , BBTEC employee and subcontractors. Arise provided the solution that consists of K2 for internal use and .NET application development for subcontractor.

So that the internal team would be able to verify and track the status of invoices and make a payment to their subcontractor within the assigned KPIs.

This solution help them to reduce the time of issuing payment voucher from 2 months to 2 weeks.

Case Study – Purchase Requisition approval process

Customer and business challenge

ThaiNamthip Limited is an authorized bottler of Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Namthip, Schweppes and Minute Maid products of The Coca-Cola Co. It is a private company operating five manufacturing centers and 49 major distributions in Thailand.

The customer uses SAP as a backbone financial and accounting system however when last year Work From Home approach was in placed , the system is not really fit to the approach especially management levels.

Solution provided

We suggested the client to use PR approval via email using K2 software. The solution is to retrieve PR information from SAP once the purchasing team created them in SAP the request will be sent to this PR approval application. And the application will start to check who will be in Line of approval and send email with relevant information to them. The approver could just reply with approve or reject and workflow will handle the rest. Once all the approval is done , all information will be posted back to SAP.

This solution is endorsed by the management team and become one of the most use application within organization.

Case Study – Cross Area Lending

Customer and business challenge

Thanachart bank is well-known in the market for consumer auto loan. Their clients are cross the country which mean that people could buy from any place and choose to submit the application to the bank branch that is the most convenient to them. Previously, the team use fax and messenger to deliver applications along with supportive documents. This process usually took weeks to know the result.

Solution provided

Managements of the bank would like to reduce the time of granting loan. So we provided workflow solution to help them to track the task and to know where and who the task is pending to.

After implementing the solution, the process of granting the loan reduce from weeks to 3 days.

Case Study – e-Budget Workflow

PTT is the largest corporation in Thailand and like many other large companies, PTT use SAP as a backbone for their financial and accounting system. However with the complexity of their budgeting control and line of approval , these budgeting requests will reach from the operation to the top managements including the CEO.

As a result their managements requested the team to find solution that can help the team to access this application securely from any device and anytime.

Arise provided custom-built application that use budgeting information from SAP and design the application in a way that it can fit with mobile, tablet and desktop computer.

The application covers all types of budgeting and is very flexible to make a request , amend or adjust budgeting throughout the company and its subsidiaries. This is to serve all levels of users such as budget holder, operation unit team and manager, as well as the CxO levels

Case Study – Business Process Simplification and Automation for EGAT

EGAT is the electricity generating authority of Thailand.

They deal with quite a number of vendors and suppliers day in day out, making it a busy transport engineering department to handle that. This also leads to a lot of paperwork, validation, filing and account setup for new suppliers and modification with every single change.

EGAT was not only losing a lot of productive hours of their resources, but also facing delays in turning contracts around. They approached Arise to find a technology solution to solve this problem.

Solution provided

Arise setup a vendor document management portal for EGAT which helps the transport engineering department collect data and track compliance. The self support portal for suppliers ensures all necessary fields are filled in, and suppliers are notified in case of anything missing before they can submit their details. This data then goes into a process workflow which validates the information provided is in the right form, and inputs that into a central database.

This solution reduced complete manual intervention, increased traceability of data at a click, and transformed the entire registration process from months to weeks.

Arise now supports EGAT with a managed service for ongoing enhancements and maintenance of the portal as new use cases keep coming up for further simplification.
